If anything good can come out of such an awful tragedy, then it must be that people with learning disabilities, historically overlooked and ignored, will perform on Broadway in Sir David's memory.

On October 15th 2017, The Music Man Project performed at the West End's London Palladium theatre for the second time in three years. Our 2015 debut had been a tremendous success but failed to convince the Royal Albert Hall that we could put on a similar production at a bigger venue.

I will never forget the kindness shown to me on that day.

This is The Music Man Project - where the impossible becomes possible! Once again, 2025 exceeded my wildest expectations. The most thrilling part was announcing our 2026 Broadway debut live on Channel 4’s The Last Leg.

We look up at the standing ovation filling the auditorium and take it all in. It wasn’t quite the Colosseum but for one night in Rome the Global Ambassadors became Musical Gladiators!

That moment marked the beginning of our friendship and the birth of our partnership. Chris offered to find Salvation Army Corps that might like to run a Music Man Project. The Music Man Project and The Salvation Army UK have been thriving together ever since.

I will never stop championing the arts. This mission is lifelong, and I will continue to use my platform to uplift, inspire, and drive lasting change. Serving as a Disability and Access Ambassador has reaffirmed my belief that the UK stands as a global beacon for accessible arts and culture.

From a misnamed Mazurka to a global movement in accessible music education, my journey with King’s College London has been anything but ordinary.
